Objective:

To assess your understanding of social media content management, your creativity in content creation, and your strategic thinking in building engaging social media campaigns.

Assignment Details:

Your customer in this assignment will be a cafe named 'Mocha Muse Café'

Content Planning & Strategy

  1. Create a social media strategy that includes the type of content that you would deploy to get maximum visibility and growth in followers for the brand. The more ideas you provide the higher your assignment score will be.

  2. Content Creation

    • Create 3 sample social media posts for the brand you chose, ensuring they reflect the overall theme of your content calendar. For each post, include:
      • Visuals: You can design mockups using any tool like Canva, Photoshop, or even provide a concept sketch.
      • Captions: Craft captions that are engaging, clear, and relevant to the post.
      • Hashtags: Research and suggest 5 high-performing hashtags for each post.
      • Call-to-Action (CTA): Specify the CTA for each post (e.g., “Swipe up for more,” “Tag a friend”).
  3. Video & Photography Skills For this part of the assignment you can choose objects at home or in the neighbourhood. We will be evaluating originality, video/photography skills, editing and ideation
    1. Study a trending Instagram reel and recreate it on your own phone or camera
    2. Take photos of three products using different backgrounds a) Dark background b) Light background and c) With other blurred objects in the background
    3. Make one video of a product or place that tells a story

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Creativity: Originality and relevance of content ideas.
  • Strategy: How well you understand the target audience and align content with their interests.
  • Attention to Detail: Quality and consistency in content planning and post structure.
